Watercolor Classes
In my watercolor classes, based on the level of skill of my
students, I choose a subject. Firstly, I teach them the sketch of the subject, step by step, then after the sketch is complete, I teach them the painting of the subject, along with techniques related to the medium(in this case, watercolor). Throughout the class, I check their progress on their painting, and whenever needed, I will guide them on how to fix the mistakes in their piece. People that have no
background in painting with watercolor will work on basic subjects in the beginning, and those subjects will get more advanced and complicated over time.
History of Watercolor Art
Watercolor painting is extremely old, perhaps to the cave paintings of paleolithic Europe. However, its continuous history as an art medium begins with the Renaissance. Wildlife and Botanical illustrations became popular during Renaissance. Several factors contributed to the spread of watercolor painting during the 18th century, particularly in England. During the 20th and 21st centuries, watercolor became popular with famous artists such as Paul Klee, Edward Hopper, and Winslow Homer.
