Acrylic Classes
In my acrylic classes, based on the level of skill of my
students, I choose a subject. Firstly, I teach them the sketch of the subject, step by step, then after the sketch is complete, I teach them the painting of the subject, along with techniques related to the medium(in this case, acrylic). Throughout the class, I check their progress on their painting, and whenever needed, I will guide them on how to fix the mistakes in their piece. People that have no
background in painting with acrylic will work on basic subjects in the beginning, and those subjects will get more advanced and complicated over time.
History of Acrylic Art
Between 1946 and 1949, Sam Golden invented a solution acrylic paint under the brand, Magna Paint. Water base acrylic paints were subsequently sold as latex house paint. Acrylics have the ability to band to many different surfaces and mediums and can be used to modify their binding characteristics. Over the years, acrylic became more versatile as further methods for mark-making in this luscious and vibrant paint were explored.
